Considering about 61.45% of the candidates in the 47M range have been eliminated through TF, that's very unlikely. Consecutive remaining candidates might be a better term, and is likely to be true, assuming you got them all at the same time.

Oh yeah, we *do* eliminate quite a few of them early on, don't we, LOL. There might be a few that are consecutive primes, though, as the gaps are not very big at all (some cases only 20-30 between exponent values). They all have that *ahh* new exponent smell.

I'll probably start P-1'ing them next week; that will likely reduce the ranks by 1 or 2.

Yeah, I'd expect several pairs of them to be consecutive primes. About 1 in 17.7 (~ln(47500000)) numbers in the 47M range are prime.
You can use http://www.mersenne.org/report_exponent/ to find the status of all candidates in a range. It should work quite well for seeing just what in that range has a factor, or what candidates are consecutive primes, or what's reserved by someone else for LL, or what.

Default 100 P-1 tests completed on V5

Yesterday, I completed my 100th V5 P-1 test. Who knows how many I had on v4 - at least 88 more, I suppose, as I've done 188 LLs and I usually run the P-1 first.

I've had 5 successes, and 95 no-factors, so that gives me a success rate of 5%. I suppose that's pretty much in line with the kind of probabilities we expect from P-1.

First (and smallest) of the birthday exponents is 20% along (LL stage), scheduled to finish on Halloween. I haven't done anything with the other 23, but I'll probably start P-1'ing them this weekend. I need to work on my borg, half of it is just sitting there TF'ing away.

(Excuse my rambling, I'm taking my wife's codeine tablets and I appear to be 2 ft off the ground. )
I'm haven't seen a dentist for 14 years so I'm not registered, I'll probably have to go to Crawley Hospital unless ...

Who's going to donate a top-5000 prime to me if I pull it out?

One computer just passed 2000 GHz days (in just 8 months). It's my first new desktop machine for a few years so it's no surprise it's outproducing all the rest put together.

And not long back, v5 LL & DC passed 1000 GHz days within a week or so of each other - that was neat.
