Thanks everybody, the honeymoon will be in a few months (she's a student and in the middle of many things now).

The commercial application involves verifying custom-made checksums on electronic documents.

That is interesting use for a QS/NFS application. I guess they are using some of your math library code to do that then?

She's very understanding anyway. We obsess plenty over the things that interest us :)

I didn't inquire; there are many choices for the stuff around the factoring. Come to think of it, there are now many choices for the factoring too.

My third ever 100+ bit prime factor, and the first of that size found in stage 1.

Default My V5 Credits surpasses my V4 credits

My first PC (PIII-400) started with GIMPS September 2002. Sseveral were added since then and at the end of the V4 era, over 6 years later, I had 3867 credits.

Now, less than 7 months (and a Quad and a 2 Duos ) later I have earned another 3871, thereby doubling my V4 output in less than 1/10th the time.
