Using 2 Google accounts to run Colab are there any advantages/disadvantages to using either just one key or using a separate key for each account?

Sorry. I can't really answer the above. I use different keys for every instance I run.
I see that Colab TF has moved from 75 bits to 76. I guess we're knocking stuff out!

The advantage (if you're running many instances) is to be able to immediately tell which instance has terminated, so you can then restart it (usually as a CPU only). |

So... We're getting a few hundred at the high end of each range to 77 bits, in preparation for this. P.S. A bit of sad news from my world... One of our cats seriously damaged his right eye's cornea. The vet tried to save the eye, but the infection was too severe. Surgery today to remove the eye... (shudder!)

Except the initial phase of the healing, your cat should largely be ok. Depth perception will be an issue. A friend has a small dog with no eyes. It does fine.

Hi,
I recently started using colab for TF. I wanted to know how it gets output because primenet never seems to register it. Is it supposed to goto a file or something else. Sorry I am new and hopefully this is the correct place to post this question. Thanks Last fiddled with by EdH on 2020-05-13 at 23:57 Reason: Moderator moved post to existing thread |

My (cringing at the thought) sympathies for the cat.

Once you've put your AKey into the Notebook (or just copy-and-pasted) the code and start it, everything else is automatic. Because you entered your Primenet Username in your account settings, the results are automatically submitted back to Primenet, and credited to your account both there and at GPU72. If you look at your View Completed report on GPU72, you'll see the (currently 13) completed assignments. If you click on the link for each candidate, it will take you to Primenet where you can see your results were submitted. |

Thanks to ATH, I got mfaktc running on Colab, but seriously, over the past 48 hours, I have had only 83 minutes access to a GPU. Before this 48 hour timespan, I had about 5 hours GPU access. Now, my real question is, am I doing something wrong, since I keeps getting these "GPU usage limitazion"? (despite hitting the play button several times in a row)... must add, that I get these "GPU usage limitazions", when signing in and using the GPU72 generated access key... If there is really only 40 minutes available each 24 hour timespan, then it really isn't worth anything if you ask me. I now even doubt if I'll be able to complete my mersenne.org reservation, before BOINC catches up to that n level, and if I'm ever gonna be able to make a difference for GPU72, if I only have about 40 minutes of GPU time each 24 hours. Any experience and or feedback is welcomed
