Has anyone here tried this? It is a 64 bit kernel with access to arm64 apps:

I installed this image on my r-pi 3B+. To run a 64-bit app I issue something like this (with sudo rights I think):

Code:
cd /path/to/set/up && ds64-run /full/path/of/the/program
It seems to work okay and the system is a lot easier to maintain than Gentoo. It is basically Raspbian with a 64 bit "runner".

I haven't heard of that one, but I recently got a Pi 4 and tried out Manjaro Linux for ARM, which is 100% 64-bit and seems pretty decent so far. They only support Pi 4 though.

There is a desktop version, and a minimal console only install(i used the minimal):

I haven't tried comparing any sort of "performance" against a 32-bit OS yet though.

By the way, regarding temp issues, I've used a small passive heatsink designed for GPU RAM, which I happened to have some spares of. I affixed it with some double sided tape designed for heatsinks, and it gets by fine with no higher than 62C core temps when running 4 threads at 100%. The load I'm testing is some software I wrote, so admittedly its probably not stressing the SIMD bits much if at all.

Also, I haven't attempted any overclocking, still running it at stock 1500MHz clock.
