It's a 12 poster set that contains all 24,862,048 digits of M51, printed at a very tiny font size as we do with all of our posters. This is our first set though - lots of work, but fun. The total dimension is 73.5 x 49.5 inches give or take 1 inch if you overlap the small margins.

It will be on Amazon as well - the listing is still in progress.
Nice work. If you did all the GIMPS-discovered Mp (#35-51* currently), it would be enough to wallpaper a small room.
Mp #1-18 fit easily together on a single letter size page at 9 point font. Mp #24 alone takes over a page.

Default M51 Poster Set Now Available - Price Correction

Please forgive the extra post. Of course right after the last post, I noticed a pricing error on my site. It has been fixed. The $4 magnifier I offer decided it wanted to be $40. Sorry about that.

According to Amazon, my lair is too far off the beaten track for the seller to care. And the seller's own website still refuses to show as much as a single pixel.

Don't tempt me. I might just do all MP in a single set. But first I need to see if people like my M51 set. Such a set takes a lot of work to design, print, pack, ship,...phew.

With that said, at least i'm in a position to tackle M52 when it happens.

I'm not able to tweak my online store platform to play nicely with non-JS people. I actually asked them.

Regarding Amazon, where is your lair? I may not have added some countries to my international shipping options.

I think that it is under the ice about 153 km north of the south pole.

My machine at work still had problems with your site (it might be the proxy or... ) It did not work on Chrome or IE.

I know this kind of work is time-consuming and technically difficult. I hope you don't mind some constructive criticism and feedback.

Based on the images you posted here, and on Amazon, the large font text in subtractive colour primaries are, IMHO, a little overwhelming.

When MP51 was discovered Jon Pace had asked about a poster. No one was producing one at that time, so I offered to help by dusting off my (ancient) Postscript skills and try to produce a file which could be rendered on a high-end, high-resolution monochrome printer.

This discussion petered out because Jon wanted to include the FedEx colours, but he wasn't able to find a printer which could do the job in a cost-effective manner.

But, since you've taken on the task (and hats off to you for this; sincerely) might I suggest you offer a version where instead of the large font being rendered first in a primary, and then the 1pt digits rendered during a second pass, you instead use a Postscript mask such that the large font is rendered as bolded 1pt digits, and the rest as regular?

Something like:

2394782349078234907823490782349078
2394782349078234907823490782349078

2394782349078234907823490782349078

Just putting that out there for consideration.

Hmm, I just tried it with Chrome and all is well. Could be a proxy if it limits the sites you're allowed to access. Try a mobile device?

For locations outside the US, the shipping is expensive. There's no 1st Class option at the weight I need to ship (about 4.5 pounds), so there's only Priority, which outside the US is expensive. Not sure what to do about that. If I ship the posters in a flimsy fashion, they won't arrive in tact, and there's no point to that.

That's an idea I've worked on in the past. It's tricky because I use a heavy font in the first place to ensure solid digits at such a small size. Back in the day when my posters were monochrome, I had a lot of requests to add some color, so I settled on having the center image, or in the M51 case, the descriptive text be in color.

One change I could offer is lighter and/or transparent non-primary colors. But then I'm guessing as to what people would want and under a magnifier, non CMYK colors aren't solid, so there's a dot pattern which I don't like as much up close - but maybe others are fine with. To me, anything beyond the prereq of having solid readable digits is a matter of personal preference.

Your point is taken. Not everybody will like the solid colors, but on the flipside the digits flow through them and the effect is pretty cool under the magnifier. Also people see the posters and just think it's a sign, until they look up close. That's always a fun one, when someone goes, "Holy &$(@", that has 25 million digits?

If there were a color I knew folks were interested in, I could try it out and make sure the digits underneath are still readable.

Yup. Same here.

Amazon: "This item does not ship to Barbados. Please check other sellers who may ship internationally.

Exatextposters.com: Blank page. According to "No Script", Javascript from six (6#) different sites need to be allowed before the site will work.

@Microprint314... You might consider firing your current on-line presence staff. Showing only a blank page for those who are serious about security is ill-advised. Or, at least, you won't get many orders from them.

There is something known in the industry as "gracefully collapse". It is fine to add bells-and-whistles if JS is enabled, but a site should at least still display something useful and informative if it isn't.

FWTW.

How does it look, if instead of bold, you change the font color for the large numbers?
