Viruses, malware, etc. I got stung twice before deciding it was better to avoid sticking my hand in the hive. Maybe it has gotten better but I won’t go there. YMMV.

I seem to recall someone was out of town/country and it was cumbersome to post the log to pastebin via iPhone/iPad but could post the factors to the forum in a timely manner.

Taking 4784213763211_17m1.

It is an octic. A patch was added to Msieve a couple years ago to handle higher degree polynomials. Perhaps richs has a version before that was applied.

My version is v1.53 from 3 or 4 years ago. I see in the Msieve thread there are newer SVNs so I'll update. Rich, thanks for the heads up!
