Default BOINC?

Are there any other HPC projects out there or other pieces of software besides prime95/mprime/gputo72 that might be interesting? Has anyone looked at BOINC? What is Curtis Cooper using? just an AD policy with an MSI installer to run in the background on labs and desktops around campus?

Yes.

Those who choose to use Prime95/mprime and Primenet tend to understand what they're doing.

Not to take away from the various BOINC projects, but personally I love the fact that mprime squeezes every possible cycle out of my systems to ensure they are sane.

I've said before, and I'll say again: running mprime has helped me detect failing hardware well before it actually failed. I can't even begin to guess how much money this has saved me over the years.
