I use a ASUS A7V266-E with an Athlon XP1800+ (Palomino), with the FSB normally OCed to 140 or 145 MHZ (CPU at 1609 or 1667 MHZ). It has been running P95 for well over two years, and returned many exponents without errors so far. It is obviously not on sale anymore, but I referenced it as an argument in favour of the ASUS choice. Their mobos are not cheap, but they are definitely worth the money, in my view.

Abit is my favorite motherboard vendor at the current time. My main PC is an Athlon 2400+ (a 266 MHz FSB cpu) running at 2000MHz (i.e. not over clocked). When I put this CPU into my Abit NF7-S ver 2.0 motherboard with 2 Mushkin 3500 memory sticks, I am able to run at 400 MHz FSB, 24/7, rock solid for months at a time.

I currently run an Asus P4P800 Deluxe board with 256 megs of Corsair 3500. It is rock stable at super high oc even on air. Ive had it at 3.26 running my ram at the 5:4 divider to run it at stock 434 speeds. I could easily pump more out of this chip, but that would require me to get more ram, this stuff is pretty much rated at what its good for. If you are ocing get some better ram. I would definately recommend this board to anyone getting a P4 with HT. The newer version of this board is also good, and so are the P4C800 Dlx boards. Abit has a very good board in the IC7 Max boards. The main thing when running a P4 board is to have an adequate psu. These things love electicity, so keep a quality psu with 400+ watts and you will be fine. If you have lots of drives, you might want to get a bigger psu just to be safe.
