where are the pages in French?

You don´t really have to worry about your english language skills to participate in the search...

. Many of us (like myself) do not master the english very well, but that is not a problem as long as you are willing to donate some of your unused CPU time to the cause of GIMPS. The instructions are easy to follow, and many of us will be more than happy to help you to get started. My French is not that good (specially in writing) but if you to ask anything in french feel free to do it and I will do my best to help.
Also note that participating in the search and in the forums is a good way to improve your english

You´re right. But what I meant to say is that she doesn´t need the French pages to join us. The GIMPS community is happy to help every newcomer. There are no Portuguese or Chinese pages either, and still...

I am french and I can't find the french page of gimps ! Is it normal ? Is it possible to find informations in french for french people ?
On this url http://www.mersenne.org/gimps/fr/
I obtains the 404 error message !
What can I do ?

Salut Joël!

In fact it appears that the french page of GIMPS is no longer available, or at least it was moved to a different location. There are some french people involved in the GIMPS (actually one of them discovered a Mersenne Prime!), may be someone knows about it. But that shouldn´t be a problem for you, you may join the search anyway.
