Default Cluttered Prime95 directory.

I have been reserving and unreserving exponents but have finally settled on factoring work.
My worktodo.ini file shows:
Factor=20948227,58
Factor=20948563,58
Factor=20948657,58
Factor=20948671,58
Factor=20948687,58
Factor=20948693,58
Factor=20948723,58
Factor=20948779,58
Factor=20948867,58
Factor=20949749,58
Factor=20950147,58
Factor=20950187,58
Factor=20950271,58
Factor=20950289,58
Factor=20950337,58
Factor=20950357,58
Factor=20950367,58
Factor=20950393,58
Factor=20951087,58

But I have these files in my Prime95 directory (among others of course):
m8615513
mG776581
mH011831
mH070281
mH115823
mX389899
p8432407
p8524639
pB324353
pG491521
pG776547
pJ285459
pX332777
q8524639
qB324353
qG491521
qG776547
qX332777
Can they safely be deleted?

and pK948227 (which I assume must be kept because I am factoring 20948227.)

Out of curiosity, how does Prime95 choose names for it's save files?

Yes,
You can safely delete them. Prime95's save file convention is as follows. Both factoring and LL savefiles start with a p (or also a q if you have checked the 2 savefiles option). However, you can tell it's a factoring savefile if it is 24 bytes or something riduculously small compared to over 1 Meg for LL tests. the files that start with m are savefiles for P-1 factoring which occurs before LL testing sometimes.

The 7 digits after the p or m are as follows:
Exponents upto 9,999,999 have the same 7 digits in the savefiles.

After that exponents in the 10M range start with an A followed by the last 6 digits of the exponents. So 10,006,531 will have savefile pA006531.
11M start with a B and so on. 20M's would start with a K and the X is a 33M.

What about 77+M exponents?

Try one! My guess would be that it'd just revert to more numbers (in the second digit spot). Seems like it's just converting digits from the left to base 36 as needed... Next question: Why're ya doing a 77M exponent??? The chances of finding a prime must be astronomical when you take into account the time it takes vs the probability of any one 77M exponent being prime, the chances must MUCH over-power the 10x increase in prize money! Stick to 33M exponents if you're so bent on making money :(

Were I bent on making money, I wouldn't choose GIMPS... :( But, hey, that's much too fun! :(

My question was just out of curiosity...

Sorry. I meant "My guess would be that it'd just revert to more letters in the second digit spot" Yeah... my brain wasn't turned on all the way...
