What happens after one assigment is finished?

Hello, I am new to this project, but I think it is cool.

I wonder what happens after my assignment is finished? Like, does it automatically start a new one (search), even though I have 4 other assignments that I have not started on yet.

I also have another question: when I go on "Manual testing" - "Extensions", and under CPU Name; what is this "Manual testing" thing?

I would also like to know if it is possible to rearrange your assignments, so that I could for example start on one that I haven't started on yet, manually. And if it is possible to change which computer that is going to do the search.

If you let PrimeNet handle the communication, Prime95 will automatically upload the results and get new work.

There are different ways to get assignments.
- Automatic (PrimeNet option in Prime95)
- Manual from GIMPS https://www.mersenne.org/manual_assignment/
- GPU72 (mostly for GPU Trial Factoring) https://www.gpu72.com/

Yes to both your questions. It is however more useful for the project to complete assignments, than to do parts of them and abandon them (only complete assignments are uploaded and useful for the project).

To rearrange assignments:
1. Stop Prime95
2. Close Prime95
3. Rearrange assignments in worktodo.(txt/ini) with text editor (i.e. notepad)
4. Save changes in worktodo and close text editor.
5. Start Prime95

Moving assignments from a machine to another is possible, but not advice-able.
1. Stop+Close Prime95 on Machine X
2. Copy/cut + paste files with the names pXXXXXXXX ,pXXXXXXX.bu pXXXXXXX.bu2 etc. and the assignments in worktodo.txt to the Prime95 folder on Machine Y
