Default Ranges 620-650 uploaded

I just put new ranges n=620-650k on the server. These are sieved to 9610 courtesy of segmtfault and lsoule. Thanks guys!

I created a short C program to partition the big file into small chunks and as an additional feature it can count the number of k/n pairs per file. The number varies a lot, between 277 and 345 pairs. BTW, in the 620k-1M range there are now 57055 candidates, or 300.2 per a 2k range.

Finally, I took liberty to reserve the first range, 620-622

To edorajh and SB2
When can we expect you guys to complete your reserved ranges? Can you kindly tell us what's the status of your search? Thanks!

I run it on my office computer. I am on a holiday now so I can't check the status. Also, since I'm on a holiday my office computer is turned off now. Once I start work again I will update you (10 days).

I'm thinking about getting an AMD Athlon 64bit 2.4Ghz processor and a new computer. What do you mean by the ranges are too big to be processed by an AMD?- because that could be a big factor in whether or not I end up getting one.

AMD Athlon 64 is a great chip for most applications. However, the Pentium 4 is faster at testing for prime numbers.
