If you have manually submitted it to the GIMPS website, then everything should be fine. http://www.mersenne.org/manual_result/. How long before the server reports your submission, I do not know.

Whether the result is accurate or not will depend on a double check by someone else. You should get a "score". But I repeat: your tested number is not prime

The exponent has to be prime. It is a "candidate" prime until it has been tested. This elimination can be done by finding a factor or doing a 7 day LL test.
