The chances of finding a prime doing TF are considerably higher.than for LL. But primes found by LL are considerably more valued than the primes reported by TF.
If C. Cooper can manage to get GPUs into all those LL boxes and start doing TF with them I would imagine those figures would look very different. Anyhow, the penis size measuring on those pages is dumb and pointless IMO. "Hey ma, look at my number, it's so biiig." ![]() Or maybe I'm just jealous because my number isn't as big as other people's numbers? Yeah, that must be it.

![]() It's all that GPU factoring that's really helping AirSquirrels shoot ahead so fast. Good for him, I say. Each factor found means one less to do a LL test, so have at it. I can't help but wonder how long it would take AirSquirrels to actually surpass Curtis based just on the TF effort alone, at his present velocity. Still, I also gotta hand it to Curtis' machines... they chug away pretty consistently and while the occasional machine there has been known to spit out bad results, it's probably no more (and probably less) than average, and he has found several Mersenne primes, so that's something too.

What do you all talking about? Those numbers can not be pointless! Beside of the fact that the word is trademark of RDS and you have to pay royalties to use it, do you want to mean that I spent my cycles for nothing?

The TF component of that score does make it a bit of a hollow victory, however the cycles have been spent none the less. The competition is just for fun, we are all on the same team.
What is really interesting is the pacing - currently almost all of our GPU LL effort is in DC, where our 7 day pace is actually the highest. I can't say for sure, but when I switch those GPUs to LL I think those will outpace Curtis' systems based on my previous experiments in doing that. |

I took the bait and google translated that.
![]() I wouldn't say that though... co-regents maybe? LOL I had to look... I'm #2 in the double-check table for the past year but I don't show up at all in the TF or LL charts. I'm fine with that and I'm definitely not in it for the ranking. I'd remove all my progress if I weren't afraid that'd mess up some global stats somewhere.
