dark, hungry and dangerous...

should be an easy one for you guys (and ladies?).

We've got the following situation (its not as much as it looks like):

4 persons (Mr. A, Mr. B, Mr. C and Mr. D, or for the ladies Mrs. A, Mrs. B, Mrs, C and Mrs. D) are at one side of a river.
There is a bridge across the river wich is very decrepit. Therefore it will be blown up in exactly one houre
It is midnight - noone can see anything or even move without a torch
because the bridge is that ruinous, only 2 people can be at the bridge at the same time
The 4 persons are very, very hungry, and on the other side of the bridge, there is the only snackbar around which will be opened the whole night -> so, they have to get over there!
They need the following amount of minutes to cross the bridge:
A = 5 min
B = 10 min
C = 20 min
D = 25 min
(btw: its a really, really long bridge)
If two of them go together across the bridge, the faster one has to move as 'fast' (as slow!) as the slower one
There is only one torch

finally the Question: What will they eat?

How do they all manage to get across within one hour?

Don't come with swimming or flying or stuff like that... you know in wich forum you are ;-)

okay, okay... that are both correct but somehow... unemotional answers.
I expected something more like:
'hey, that was far too easy! Go and ask some real questions!'
or
'hmmm... the last two times this question was asked, there was more response!'
or
'First choose a better avatar-picture and then try to ask something.'

anyhow... hope you had at least a little fun to solve it.

OK, I figured it out, but it took me a minute. Givien that the four people would also need a minute (or more) to figure it out and that it would take them 60 minutes to execute what seems to be the best plan and the bridge is being blown up in 60 minutes, there's no way they can all cross the bridge. :)

Therefore they should all stay behind and use the torch to grill Mr. D (the slowpoke!

) and eat him instead.
