You will have to check with your vendor before buying it, if it comes with the right brackets for your socket. On the Cooler Master site the new sockets have an asterisk and they say "Supplied accessories may differ by country or area. Please check with your local distributor for further details."

Also, this cooler works much better in vertical position (i.e. the mobo is horizontal), due to the fact that the pipes are partially strangled in the middle, therefore if you install the cooler horizontally, the condensed water collects into the lower pipes and the vaporizing process goes only in the higher pipes, reducing the cooling efficiency. (We did here a lot of studies of how the heat pipes work - there is a post somewhere about keeping them vertical).

Thanks, should be ok. This is a vertical install on an LGA1151 socket, which it looks like the Hyper 212 EVO should fit.

Just be aware the fan will die after a year. It's a standard static pressure fan and cheap to replace.

I have had CoolerMaster fans die much more quickly, or at least, start obnoxious chattering. I complained until they threw several fans at me.

In the end I threw a 212 Evo on it. Brought my temps from low 90's to upper 50's. $25 well spent.
