Default Move 18 poll: Everyone vs. Stockfish

Here's the poll for move 18. It closes in 3 days, and the discussion can be found at: http://www.mersenneforum.org/showthread.php?t=20897

So...what do we do if this remains tied?

It means we got 0.25 points
Because we draw with SF, and got 0.5m then we share the 0.5...

Edit: Joking apart, there are few possibilities to exit the lock:
1. Ask someone else to vote (Serge? Mike?) who witnessed or played the former games, and likes chess.
2. Or just ask Moomoo to chose one by random, or take the one where SF scores maximum for white (or black? it would be interesting to know the scores and see if we can lose from here, with perfect play on both sides, choosing one variant or the other)
3. Play both versions (I won't have time, if the situation on board gets very divergent, and also, it will be much more management to do for Moomoo)
4. Someone gives up the vote or revote
5. All give up - we proved the point
6. Propose a draw...

I or someone else could cast a tiebreaker, and should everyone be so inclined, might it be possible to, upon the completion of this first game, come back to this move and play another half again from the other option of this fork?

If Rab1 is chosen, I'd like to ask LaurV and anyone else who wants to participate to play a side game against SF with Qxb6 chosen instead. It won't be the official Mersenneforum game but I want to see if we indeed can reasonably quickly force a draw with Qxb6. I'd also like to ask for it to run concurrently on the side (since this game will likely last awhile) instead of waiting until the end of this game if MooMoo is willing to take on that task.

I also would like to see a fork of the game from this point, at the same time or after the "main" game is complete.

The said breaking of tie has to happen in another 3 hour before the poll closes. Just sayin...

I'll be around... though I'd like to hear if the parallel game is possible before having to break four people's hearts (figuratively speaking).

I'll extend the poll another 48 hours to allow more people to vote and to allow those who've already voted to change their minds. The analysis in the discussion thread over the past few hours may influence people's decisions. Since I can't edit the expiration date on the poll itself, people who're new voters or those who want to change their vote will have to post in this thread.

I'll do a fork of the game at the same time if the poll still remains tied after the additional 48 hours.

My original idea was allowing people to change their minds within a certain time frame, and if nobody did so, the tiebreaker would have been randomly chosen based on stock performance (if Google stock goes up tomorrow, Qxb6 will be chosen, if it goes down, Rab1 will be chosen). But I like the "game fork" idea better.

If you're willing to fork it, I'm very interested to see how both games turn out! Seems better than waiting for someone to come break the tie.

Well, this looks like one thing the queen swappers and the rook movers can agree on

I'm willing to fork the game at this move, but this will be the one and only time it'll happen. If there's another tied vote on either game, I'll allow additional voting time and pick a move at random if the tie still isn't broken.
