IMO if overclocking is involved or undervolting it is possibly best to fix a CPU at one speed with power saving modes disabled. It is impossible to test all the different modes. We only need the fastest anyway.
http://www.overclock.net/t/1494449/d...#post_22554964 BTW have you tried underclocking and further undervolting to see how that affects efficiency? Last fiddled with by henryzz on 2016-03-18 at 02:26 |

Latest update: CPUs 4 & 5 added. Right now all the h110 mobos are running with the CPU undervolted by 40mV except one at 30mV. All RAM overclocked and running at 1.20V except one required 1.25V.
Draw is 295 watts at the wall without any case fans running or the network switch running of the PSU. This has turned out so well, I need to re-evaluate the cost effectiveness of keep the OC'd Sandy Bridge/Haswell/570/580s running. Stability testing and DC testing continues.... I also need to figure out how to wedge the network switch and stack of 5 mobos into the case. BTW, the $25 ebay cables (four PCI-E to triple 12V barrel plugs) arrived and tested OK. I was quite satisfied with the build quality. At $2/barrel plug it is a pretty cheap solution. I may buy another set of 4 to repeat this project in future years. I have not tried that, maybe someday..... |

Tough crowd.
Next up is to replace that long USB stick with something smaller and then squeeze that stack into the case, drill four holes into the case bottom and screw it down. Then somehow clean up the maze of wires. I haven't quite figured out where or how to mount the network switch in the case. The case has room for a 5-high stack on the left and another 2-or-3-high stack on the right. I may not put in the second stack because there may not be room to attach monitor and keyboard cables when necessary. Edit: Sorry, for some reason the forum software or my Mac rotated the pictures... It was the same size and shape as the picture I have attached. here is a 3.0 128 GB http://www.bestbuy.com/site/sandisk-...&skuId=9208221 Ok ran across this about overheating http://forums.sandisk.com/t5/All-San.../336404/page/7 so you may want to look at http://www.lexar.com/jumpdrives45?category=207) instead and here is a 3,1 temporarily out of stock http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-158-_-Product Last fiddled with by Joe O on 2016-03-19 at 19:33 |

The forum software hasn't been updated to copy the orientation data when resizing pictures (or to do the rotation as part of the resize). |
