We would be interested in hearing your explanation, and we have an inquiring mind. (Is that the same as open?)

(Fixed that for you)

Odd that the large denominations that don't preach Sola Scriptura don't even have theological terms like Pre-millinial Post-tribulational Dispensationalism. And some of the ones that do practice the five solae find them astonishingly easy to ignore.

If you have an inquiring mind, I am willing to PM (or e-mail) about the Bible with you.

I put 'rapture' in quotes and said most, meaning that what is taught as 'the rapture', by most of those that use the term is not in accord with the teaching of scripture.

I had to look up 'five solae'. It was not a term that I was familiar with. I am not one big on lingo like that. I find it easy to say what I want and not use words that can vary meaning in peoples' minds. That can cause great misunderstandings. Many that might claim 'Sola Scriptura' still hang on to beliefs that come from elsewhere.

Considering the amount of swearing in the quote, I doubt they took their own study seriously. To put it bluntly, pure anger equals pure ignorance.

I Googled it, since I was unfamiliar with the verse, and I assume you mean the whole turning into light thing, since the basic concept of the Rapture is covered in 1st Thessalonians(sp?) chapter 4.

I've been going through a bit of depression because of loneliness, but if you want to message me about the Bible as a sort of bookmark, I'm open to it. I probably won't respond immediately, been sleeping too much as part of the depression.

One good thing that's happened recently is that there's a talk show host, not sure about the show, never really watched it; anyway, she suffers from the same social phobias I do. She can continue a conversation in public easily, it's the whole starting a conversation with strangers thing that causes her trouble.

Calling other people's bullshit has no implication of anger.
Perhaps you use this word in anger, but most other people don't.
Studying people's reaction to profound bullshit is a good scientific study. It wouldn't be important to study if the results were entirely trivial - but they weren't, and I applaud the researchers for their thoughtful experimental design.

Incidentally, the relevance to your thread is two fold:
1. Someone wrote some profound bullshit.
2. You found the bullshit so profound that you were compleled to repost (necropost, in fact, - the BS is nine+ years old), even though you

I didn't find the information profound, I found it interesting. Also note that I suggested an alternate topic involving Superman and puberty.

I would recommend that you find some other way to vent your anger that doesn't involve being a troll on the internet.

I've never asked this before of a thread I've made on my own, but please close this thread to prevent Batalov from continuing to harass me.

He is not harassing you, he was totally right in what he said. You are more troll than him, and if I don't recommend you to stick that bible somewhere, it is only because I hate people who destroy books, no matter the book (like writing on them, tearing pages off, bending dog-ears, when a bookmark should be much convenient, etc).

As to the alternate topic, I did make a suggestion:
By Larry Niven*

Quote:
Ejaculation of semen is entirely involuntary in the human male, and in all other forms of terrestrial life. It would be unreasonable to assume otherwise for a kryptonian. But with kryptonian muscles behind it, Kal-El's semen would emerge with the muzzle velocity of a machine gun bullet. (*One can imagine that the Kent home in Smallville was riddled with holes during Superboy's puberty. And why did Lana Lang never notice that?*)
