If you happen to have a GUI shell showing STDOUT, you can copy-and-paste the output.

Only idiots rely on that.

OK. Fine. I tried to offer free advise based on over 30 years of experience.

I will never do again. At least, to you.

I never accused you of being guilty of anything, beyond possibly being stupid.

The only way I can think of to get a copy of the output on a test mode console after the program has ended is to take a photograph of the screen. It's not elegant but it's a good last resort.

Well from now on it is solved by making backup file :) I think that I put that page in bookmarks of FF, but I am not. It was command or two , and give content of console in txt file. But now it is irrelevant, I redone "lost" work and make backup file. Problem solved :)

He didn't say "since you have a GUI console". He said "if you have a GUI console".... giving advice for a similar problem *does* often help people figure out what to do about their present problem. Also, it is possible that the previous time you "solved" this problem, you WERE in a gui-console, and used simple cut-and-paste. So, his reply could easily have reminded you why you found it simple last time.

It's pretty bad form to ask for advice and then attack people trying to help, even if their help does not seem relevant to you.

VBCurtis: if I say in first post that I have GUI-less linux distro ,then there is no possibility that I have be in GUI console, right?
Second I will not ask for help in first place since I will make cut and copy....
Please , since problem is solved, close this topic or delete it

Many use GUI-less distros which they SSH into from a GUI; of over the twenty machines I admin, only two have a GUI.

And your first post didn't explicitly say you trying to solve a problem after the fact; the question could have been a future tense situation, which both Mike and I gave viable (and different) solutions for.

As I said to you via PM, my apologies for being short tempered.
