Are you planning to do root-optimization on those or you are leaving it for me? Just asking. :-) If you report the best looking c5/Y1's, I'll CADO them as usual.

I was expecting you to sort by stage-2 norm and CADO the smallest ones.

I've done msieve root optimisation, and got one polynomial with E>8e-15; haven't had the machine time for trial sieving yet, probably that'll be Thursday.

Code:

Thank you, that's all I needed. CADO will be on it tomorrow.

Sorry, CADO can't optimize provided Msieve polys for this C196. The only way I can help you with it is to start a CADO run from scratch and see if any comparable E scores pop up. I'll run it overnight and report tomorrow.

Your CADO-optimised polynomial sieves slightly faster and with a slightly higher yield than the best-sieving of the polynomials I've found.

Do you think it's time to submit something to the queue, or would you like to spend another week hunting polynomials?

My best-sieving is

Code:
n: 4771226874718372401816440104013864668203176737532592253493283671988174637757061596298231366896680873325048456869159071364714864324343301436670519204700311140849625690800089534409817719724210684309

rlambda: 2.6
alim: 420000000
rlim: 420000000
with (for 15e sieving over ranges of 3000Q) gives
Code:
total yield: 6685, q=100003021 (0.76015 sec/rel)
total yield: 6700, q=200003003 (0.90820 sec/rel)

total yield: 5172, q=500003017 (1.29446 sec/rel)
I would queue it up with alim=rlim=536000000 and an initial range of 100M-650M.

Which poly is it?

Polys with c5: 273600 were a very lucky strike. And I can't hunt for more during the week. Feel free to submit the best one to the queue.
