Maybe Prime95 should do a test of a new system, doing a P-1 check where it should find a factor. Something that wouldn't take too long (or too much memory) to run, but still manages to do a somewhat decent test of the system.

Of course that would imply that whatever causes a system to miss a factor is always reproducible... might not be ultimately effective.

Does Prime95 still do a similar test like that for LL on a brand new install? I know it used to but I haven't tried it in a while.
