I don't understand why the pawn a2-a4 is better than the bishop c3-a4?

Moving the knight there would have not allowed a place for our rook to come out; it would have stopped moving our pawn to a4; it would have taken a piece off defending e4; and it would not be able to move to b5 which is more aggressive by us. :smile:

Moving Nb5 will block off c7 for the black queen when we play Nc4 as well :smile:
