I really think that this is a Prime Example of the problems with title morphing. It is rather cliquish. Those who might be searching for answers on nVidia Tesla cards might miss useful information, unless their search was looking deep into content and not just titles.

Thanks for the response. I thought I was supposed to get an email notification, and my settings agree -- but ...
As it turns out, I actually have an M1060, which is supposed to draw a little less power than the C1060 but is still only compute level 1.3. I'm trying to jury-rig a fan right now, have the necessary power adapter for the 8-pin Molex. One problem: the Dell I'm trying to install it in automatically forces any installed PCIe card to serve as a graphics card, overriding the on-board video -- exactly the opposite of what I need (of course). This happens pre-bootloader and can't be changed in the boot menu. May have to find another box to put it in -- I hope not. Since Dell sold some workstations with Tesla co-processors (not graphics cards) installed, I would have thought the Dell BIOS would have offered a simple way around this. Any suggested solutions would be welcome. |

Does the box still boot? You could run it headless and SSH in.

They did, but not with on-board video AFAIK. My box has a PCI Qudara for instance.
