53...Ne6 is a reasonable move (while everything loses anyway).

The other move I think is worth considering is 53...Kg4.

I see no other sensible move than 53...Ne6 or 53...Kg4.
53...h5 54.Rf5+, or 53...Bf6 54.h4+, or 53...Bd4 54.Rf5+ Kg4 55.Rf4+ all drop a piece in simple fashion. 53...Bb4 places the bishop where it can't defend by going to d4 anymore. 53...Na6 just puts the horse out of action too.

Am I correct that 53...Ne6 and 53...Kg4 are the only two reasonable options this move?

This line does not look good for us:

53...Kg4
54.Rf4+ Kh3
55.Rh4+

You're right, that's instant resignation.

In which case, is 53...Ne6 our only possible move?

[ If, like last time, we have only one reasonable move, I suggest playing it fairly promptly this time. In the situation in which we find ourselves, unnecessary delay to our game will not only be frustrating to our opponents, the arbiter and anyone still following the game as a spectator, but it also draws out our own agony unnecessarily. That's just my opinion, those who disagree please say so, and I'll back down.]

I agree with Ne6. I also agree we should post quickly.

Sorry for being quiet. Had two audit/inspections by customers this past week which kept me busy.

I am ok with Ne6.

That's agreement for 53...Ne6 then, I guess. Shall we play the move?
