That's very few to market. As it's a plastic gimmick - Normally injection molding machines run economically cheap producing something like this at a minimum of 2 million produced.

Not sure where in China they let this get manufactured - just couple of thousands to assemble is very little.

Presumably these would be faster than the phones used by Ernst in his cell phone cluster running MLucas.
The very limited memory might be a problem, tho.
Also, the infrastructure to power, support, network these would probably cost more than the Pi itself !

No - the Galaxy S7 models I used have a QualComm Snapdragon 820, which in my tests is around 2x faster than the A53 quadcore in my Odroid C2. The above CPU is similar to that, but you'd need to affix a heat sink to do any serious crunching. Not sure what the target market for the above is - probably devices where you need the compute functionality in a very tight space and are not expecting heavy CPU loads. The S7 guts are similarly compact, but it has a very high-tech cooling system for same, intricate copper piping with phase-change-based heat piping, etc.

FYI, as of ~1 year ago all my S7 broke-o-phones save 1 had stopped taking a battery charge, rendering them nonfunctional. Finally got my act together and put the dead-battery ones up for sale in the "for parts" section of eBay. The sole survivor only gets powered up every few months, I use it to test Armv8+SIMD Mlucas builds - have both gcc and Clang installed, the latter allows me to simulate Apple Silicon builds, aside from several known "this general-purpose register is reserved by MacOs for ..." constraints.
