It is off-putting, but at 90 iterations per output line, that is to be expected, isn't it? I bet that at the default 1000 iterations, this will be much smoother.

One possible suggestion, is to alternate between a days-to-completion and date/time mode. First line will be ETA: 57d 13h. Next line will be ETA: 2014-Apr-30 (or whatever). I think srsieve does this.

1. Option to make a noise if a PRP is found. Feature added to next release.

Thanks for adding it to next release! I cant wait to be alive :)

Can you add cumulative time at the end of PRP? Right now I have time until last iteration, but on finished result there is no time... no big deal, but if you can...
ETA is perfectly ok: it is info , so how you will call it, is irrelevant

Feature Request: In the menu "Test" -> "Continue..." and "Stop..." add a third option for a user defined number of threads/workers/whatever.
Depending on my workload (read: which game do I want to play) I'll
  1. leave all 4 workers running
  2. stop worker 1 and worker 3
  3. stop all 4 workers
Depending on how demanding the games are.
I'll asking for a shortcut for option #2.

Tickboxes instead of a worker number field?

ROE makes me think of “return on equity.” I too like ‘roundoff’ better.

Yes, but "one (two) click(s)" should be enough, similiar to "Continue...", no matter how many workers are running, after clicking "Continue..." all workers are working. Same for "Stop...". So I dream of a button which runs the user defined worker/thread layout with a minimum of clocks and no matter which state we were running before. E.g. currently
  • no worker active -> click -> worker #2 and worker #4 start (*)
  • all workers active -> click -> worker #1 and worker #3 stop
  • ...
(*) just an example based on my quadcore desktop

So, an option to create custom "layouts" (as many as we want) and then click on them from some sub-menu from the advanced menu.

I like it. Tickboxes would also work. I personally don't find that the extra four clicks would be such a big deal but if it's easy enough to do it your way then why not?

(Possibly dumb) Feature request...
Would it be hard to have a final score/number when benchmarking? For example, the number of iterations possible per second with a certain FFT on all threads... It would make comparing systems a lot easier with a direct number

Perhaps an average of different FFT's while we're at it?

I don't know. It should be quite linear.
