Thanks wblipp. This is helpful.

I have been doing a great deal of research on this issue since my experience, and before I publish my guest article in the local blog (I have to get all the facts correct, or else I risk being sued (again!)).

While somewhat dated, I found this article somewhat useful also.

I've been pitched expensive upgrades "because they are lighter" since Hector was a pup. I don't get it, except maybe for first time glasses wearers. If I'm wearing glasses all the time, I'm used to whatever weight they are. I bought the lighter plastic lenses once - the only difference I noticed was that they scratched a lot more easily. I went for the polycarbonate lenses this time around, but it was because the frames I wanted couldn't take glass.

We have always wanted a set of these glasses but we have been unable to find anyone who makes them anymore.

Since we change glasses so often they would be very convenient.

I did not understand why changing "normal" glasses is not convenient, until I looked to your photo in the avatar. Then the light suddenly came...

Those rubber-band goggles you are usually wearing must be really difficult to change often...

Looking at your avatar, I see you've been wearing your glasses while the sun was out. They've left a tan line.
