For those of you who master the Dutch language, a new book has appeared on the market titled 'De pracht van priemgetallen' (The beauty of prime numbers).
The book has over 190 pages; ISBN 978-90-351-3863-6 and is published by prometheus-bertbakker. Mersenne primes and GIMPS are very extensively covered in the book. Many prominent chapters are devoted to Mersenne primes. |

I'm guessing that you're one of the authors?
No need to confirm or deny that! I guess we must buy the book to find out what Ionica Smeets is talking about when she writes that the authors describe number theory as a dangerous rabid dog and compares the number 1 with the dwarf planet Pluto.
