Here are my results on an AMD 4 cores and Linux 64bit llr :
With llr64 V3.8.9 :

[Wed Dec 25 15:25:19 2013]
Using AMD K10 FFT length 224K, Pass1=896, Pass2=256
V1 = 4 ; Computing U0...done.
[Wed Dec 25 18:25:56 2013]
5*2^3788920-1 is not prime. LLR Res64: DC4A38A6D1214BD0 Time : 10837.484 sec.
Using AMD K10 FFT length 224K, Pass1=896, Pass2=256
V1 = 4 ; Computing U0...done.

5*2^3788958-1 is not prime. LLR Res64: 50D1F4F64FA56F71 Time : 10784.490 sec.

And with llr64 3.8.11 :

[Wed Dec 25 15:25:23 2013]
Using AMD K10 FFT length 224K, Pass1=896, Pass2=256
V1 = 4 ; Computing U0...done.

5*2^3788920-1 is not prime. LLR Res64: DC4A38A6D1214BD0 Time : 10809.519 sec.
Using AMD K10 FFT length 224K, Pass1=896, Pass2=256
V1 = 4 ; Computing U0...done.
[Wed Dec 25 21:24:55 2013]
5*2^3788958-1 is not prime. LLR Res64: 50D1F4F64FA56F71 Time : 10762.600 sec.
As you can see, V3.8.11 is (very slightly) faster...

I left the new version running through the night and it was as you said very slightly fast although in the first time I used it it was slightly slow. I don't understand because there was nothing on the background running beside two instances of LLR.

Anyway, thank you for the new version.

Well I can tell you all this much, that both using version 3.8.9 and 3.8.11 the timings for the same FFT length and the same k and a slightly different n value can be +/- 5% in total testing time, compared to the previous test completed, with the same FFT length and same k and a slightly smaller n. I suspect it to have something to do with my RAM not being fast enough to cope with the AVX processing, so more data goes into the RAM than the RAM can process. Anyway the difference appears to be the same on both versions, so I'll stick with 3.8.11

Take care

Thanks to Iain Bethune who built them, the two Mac/Intel binaries are also now available.

Once I saw the GUI version on LLR in here. Maybe you can contact the administrator.
