I have had a bit of a hectic week so I haven't had a chance to read through everything yet. Hopefully I will tomorrow.
My initial response is Nc6 like everyone else.

Good to hear from you David.
You could play a valuable role now by looking at the position with a fresh set of eyes and making sure that the rest of us have not missed any good opportunity for ourselves or any unexpected dangerous strategy for them. Paul did mention a couple of other possibilities for us than 12...Nc6, but there's still always the danger that we have just "gone along with" each other too much.

Finally getting to this.

It occurred to me that no one(that I have spotted yet) has mentioned the possiblity of:
12... Ne7
13.e5 Nf5
Not sure it is that good but it was worth a mention to see if anyone spots anything good from it.
Here is my best:
14.exd6 Bxb2
In this position we are attacking the room with our bishop plus our knight is attacking the bishop on e3. I think we can go up a pawn by following the following line:
15. Rb1 Nxe3
16. Nxe3 Bc3+
17. Kf2 Bxf3+
18. Bxf3
Our king then can take the pawn on d6 whenever it feels like it.
This is a bit of a materialistic sequence not a positional but that can win it at the end of a game.

It looks like richs'
12. ... Nc6
13. O-O Nge7
14. e5 Nf5
15. exd6 Ncd4
16. Bxd4 cxd4
could probably be reworked to similar effect.

It seems that after 12...Nc6 we have possibly focused on O-O a bit too much. There are other moves they could do.

I would say that Bc6 seems the safest move and provides us lots of options.

This looks good to me. The knight is ready to attack and we can connect our rooks within one move

12...Ne7 seems playable, yes. I'm happy with either 12...Nc6 or 12...Ne7 at the moment.

EDIT: Rich actually advocated 12...Ne7 here early on in our discussion of move 11 but I disagreed at the time. I don't disagree now.

From the moment of this posting we have about 18 hours to play our move (let's not get confused by the fact that the arbiter is away travelling and therefore took a few days to confirm the move after LaurV posted it!).

So maybe it is time for each of us to write down our respective preferred moves?

My vote is: 12...Nc6. Should we turn out to have an equal split, I am prepared to change my vote to 12...Ne7 which I think is almost as good.

Nc6. With more time I think I might go for Ne7 but we don't have it.

As it stands I think Nc6 is winning. Bit sketchy though. I will be posting at 11:45 BST(GMT+1). I have set an alarm so I don't forget.

That sounds exciting. I think we have the better position already, but I hadn't judged it as actually winning.

Posting the move is top priority now of course (I hope Rich shows up, otherwise I guess you'll just have to go by his last stated preference from a few days ago). But if and when you get time, David, it would be very interesting to read any more thoughts you have about the position since you've clearly been working at it!
