I don't want to hypocritically violate my de mortuis nihil nisi bonum sentiment in the very same thread ventured, but at the time I made the ignore entry I was very upset and issued a full-on PLONK. At times I considered relenting but after being so explicit, I wasn't willing to retract my position and began to appreciate a higher signal to noise ratio. I strive to be a soft presence here, always being aware that people are of good will, but choose to not be entirely consistent. The only other entry made that I can ever recall was for someone that shows up here from time to time asking for help getting warez.

Then I've merely placed the spammer on the list for a short time until the person lost interest, removing them from the list when it was safe to do so again.

On this site I've never used the ignore list at all, never having suffered from anyone deluging me (that is of course a tribute to the supermods and admin who very effectively shut the spam bots out of the site!). That's not to say I've never ignored people here: I have done sometimes. But I find such ignoring easy to do by sight rather than risk shutting interesting items out by having the site itself censor them from me.
+1 !! Good posting. Totally!
Same here, you just give voice to my thinking.

How long is his ban duration? 1 month? 3 months? pi months? 1 year? 57885161 seconds (about 1 year, 304 days, 17 hours, 23 minutes, 54 seconds, 920 milliseconds, give or take an hour or 2)?

If you miss him after 9 days, sorry but he's due to be out for 43 more.

Does that mean a total of 52 days (9+43=52)? That's 7 weeks 3 days.

What did he do this time? I see he's banned again.

In the words of Vizzini, it is inconceivable that you just now noticed.
DE was banned before the new year, if memory serves.
Up for parole in mere three more months.

I never did get to see what he said to me. George must have been one of the first to see and promptly remove the comment.

He was in a moderated list a bit before he got banned, all his posts were checked by a Admin/Mod(?) before the post was posted.

Among his many colorful characterizations of other group members, he did, on occasion, refer to you as Foetus Boy. I believe this to be one of his weaker efforts, though name-calling in general implies a lack of more substantive arguments.
