How to assign myself ECM assignment (only 3 or 5 curves) for example M8888927?
Manual testing assigned 150 curves.

Don't worry about getting an assignment. Pick any exponent you want to run ECM on, used Advanced / ECM to get started (or edit your worktodo.txt) and submit the results to the server.

Note to Miszka and others:

Unlike any other PrimeNet worktype, skipping the assignment process is acceptable with ECM because ECM's (pseudo)random seeds make it extremely unlikely that any two users working simultaneously on the same exponent would be doing calculations on exactly the same curve. So it's extremely unlikely that such users would be needlessly duplicating each other's work or find the same factor before the other reported it.

That almost-guaranteed non-poaching isn't true of any other (deterministic) work type.
