Sieving on both sides isn’t too bad, it’s been done many times before. Lots of dups but enough unique to make it worth it on edge cases. But as VBCurtis notes, it may not be necessary in this case.

On another note, I’m cranking on the C196 and it’s slow going. Got spoiled running much smaller personal jobs! It will take me weeks to cover a range of 1M, but we’ll get there.

Anyone?

Default C196 Poly from AS 3366

I didn't see we had a new poly on the table with all the discussion going on.
Starting at 4M this weekend.

Sub million range for me. I have a decent hit, for the c196

I need a good poly for this baby (it is a C167 from the broken aliquot 72708). Can anybody help? Then I will continue with sieving, otherwise I will abandon this sequence, it is getting too high and my resources are very limited now.

I'll run a CADO poly select for you today to complement firejuggler; I should have results for you in ~24hr.

Note that C167 is a good size for 14e queue on NFS@home; it may extend your attention span for this sequence to send your 164+ composites there?

This search isn't a priority; I just started a GNFS180 on CADO, and won't be running this C186 until that is done in 6-8 weeks.

In the meantime, taking 10-12M on the C196 from Aliq 3366.

I don't have msieve-standard E-scores for these.

Default C196

First pause for -npr but the only thing in my poly file was shame. Nothing above a 6.7 handle! Still early in my search space though.
