He has been extremely prolific, rivaling Cherryh, I would venture. Collaborated with Pournelle, at least. There is also quite a series of spin-offs, mostly by other authors, "The Man-Kzin Wars."

  3. The Ringworld Throne (1996)
  4. Ringworld's Children (2004)
I had not been aware of the Ringworld Companion Series, nor of the last book in the Ringworld set. And quite a few others, actually. Haven't picked up anything new (to me) lately. I should have a look at the local independent bookstore.

I'm currently reading (and enjoying) Stephenson's "reamde".

I have in the queue Simmons' Flashback. Much to my surprise this book was available retail here in Barbados from "Duty Free Caribbean" for only BDS $32.50 -- it should have been $10US or BDS $20.00.

But you know how it goes -- we stupid colonies need to pay to exist....

I thought "reamde" very good, and certainly worth another reading when I'm casting about for material.

I'll have to see about "Flashback", too.

Not sure how many others might find this funny...

I see we've really got chalsall's, erm, juices flowing, with all this talk of money shots denominated in Kryptocurrency.

So from the practical-interplanetary-wooing perspective, all of Kal-El and Lois's hookups would similarly have to take place around a red sun. Lends new meaning to the term "red light district".

Ha - I knew it about the HeatVisiontm. Now we just need a suitable Burma-shave roadsign-jingle...

Erm, ... his chin? Or are you referring to some other bodily hair? Maybe some of Lois's hair?

I wonder if SM has hair in the all same places as humans?

But there are geometrical issues with this - even with extreme hair-width accuracy, he'd still leave at least a Hitler-stache under the nose and a Lincolnian chin-beard under his chin. "It's all done with mirrors, perhaps?"

A better approach: Since most of his capsule survived the impact that landed him on Earth, just make some razor blades and other needed personal-grooming implements from those.
