I see you have 690's not Titan, so that switch is only for Titan as double precision is something Titan has functionality to switch on.
In getting my titans today, and I prepared my machine to insert them.. gonna mess with the installation this weekend, and tests will be informed :) |

2 titans setup.. 60h for the 48th prime with cudalucas running in my own compiled x86 64 bit app with VS2010 and V100 platform. with Cuda 5.0 and latest nsight.
One titan is now at 86 degrees hot.. I started running a test that takes 4 days. |

Ive been fiddling with the system today, the overnight test for new double checks failed on one card, and during the day it failed on the second card. I assume the memory gets too hot and theres a bit operation failure.
Therefore I downloaded the EVGA precision software which allows me to downclock the memory from 3ghz to 2.5 ghz as I saw in another thread that theyve been running titan for 3 months on 2.5 ghz mem. I also changed the fan target from 85 degrees to 80 to allow the fans to kick in at higher speeds sooner than later. Also, I had to adjust one chassis fan to allow better airflow in the cabinet, so GPUs get fresh air. now one GPU runs with cudalucas at 77 degrees.. and second at 80 degrees. Its the position in the cabinet thats different and one card blocks the other for fresh air. Well see tomorrow if my double checks run stable.. Love the system. I actually gonna try to install a Q4000 board which I have laying around as system board to see if I can get it to run as DVI output board instead of one titan... but first I want the titan boards to run stable for atleast 24h.. |

FWIW, in one slot our Titan runs at 75°C and in a different slot it runs at 65°C. Maybe the airflow is different depending on the slots?
We also modified the fan profile to be linear, with each °C = 1% of fan speed. The default fan profile lets the card get up to 80°C and then it throttles. With the custom fan profile the card runs full speed, and then some. |
