Batalov- I'll be very interested in whether the SOC version you got proves to be any more durable than the plain OC version you and I had.

570-SO is not failing yet, and right now I am typing from a freshly minted Win7 on he same computer (dual now). On Win7, I downclocked memory to 3398. The temp is reasonable on the 570-SO. I am running some Genefer with n=20 at this time. Let's see if it will match wingmen in PGrid.

Gigabyte shows my card is "Waiting for shipping". No contact from them, so I hope that I'm getting a 570 back.....maybe by next Weds. or Thurs, just to guess.

Ok, so this is so SO annoying...

I ordered another GPU from another company, working good now.

But I just got a reply from XFX (the one that failed) after a MONTH AND A HALF, and they send a damn RMA number to send in.. problem is I took that GPU apart completely not expecting to hear from them after I had waited a month.

If you have all the parts just put it back together and send it in. It will only cost you for shipping and it might be accepted. I can't extrapolate from one company to another, but I had taken the heatsink off my Gigabyte card and applied new heatsink compound. No issue was raised. I would certainly go for it. EDIT: My GTX 570 now shows up in one place on the support web site as shipped, though I have yet to receive email notice or tracking info.

Damn right. I have all the parts here, I can put it back together, but i very stupidly removed the sticker(who in earth knows why I did that) and it turn it says "VOID" under it. So... *sigh* I might send it in but i do not think i will get a replacement for it.

Haha. I can't stick it back on but I will send it back with it... well, We'll see what happens.

EDIT: I just don't think I'll get another, with what I've done to it.(No physical damage or anything of that kind, just.... I took every screw I saw out.)
