Exclamation The server is too busy at the moment. Please try again later.

This is a new message that you might see with some of the reliability changes we have made to the forum.

If the server that the forum is hosted on has a very high load average, we have set the forum to go into dormant mode, to help alleviate the load and to prevent problems with our database.

Please be patient if you encounter this message. The Trolls are certainly working hard to find out what the problem is and will have it fixed soon.

With nearly all sites on the internet we're not surprised when they're occasionally unavailable. The fact that the server-busy message on mersenneforum.org is so unusual that it's a shock to see it, says a lot about this site's general dependability i.m.o.

Historically this forum has been up amazingly reliably. Impressive. Let's hope we can sort out the current problems.

Could the message be tailored so that those members who post the most get the message more frequently than others?

I'm not sure I've ever seen this message. It is quite rare if I have.

Earlier today it was quite frequent (and I've never seen it before today's forum work by Mike). It seems he's "fixed" "it" now though.
