While I don't quite understand this move order 28...Re2+ (why not 29.Nxe2?), the line from post #35 was already dismal for us in my opinion so going this way is no good anyway, and with...

I, too, now think we have to play 24.Qc2 to stop 24...Rd2.

I agree that we should move 24. Qc2. We'll see which variation that black plays on the lines that we've looked at.

I think that means that all four of us have expressed 24.Qc2 as our latest preference. If anyone has any other new insights (I haven't) we need to discuss them pretty quickly now, I guess.
