We don't need so many voting options. As usually only 2-3 persons will vote, in fact we don't need the polls at all :D. Hopefully next time we will have a team of 30 persons, and then we can negotiate the number of the poll lines. :razz:

For this move, we can't really pick a unique answer regardless of what he moves. Sure, Bb7 seems to be a move good in both cases, but each case might have a better (than Bb7) response, which is worse (than Bb7) for the other case. Indeed his possible choices now are only 12.Bxf3 or 12.Rxf3, the other two (moving the king) are terrible moves. But we better see white's reply first and vote after. We have many good moves in each case, but what is good for one case seems to be bad for the other.

I say they will reply with 12.Bxf3, this is the most natural answer. It does not make much sense to develop that rook, which can be easily forced back, and additionally, his goal for the rooks is column b and column c, that is why he put the other rook there. So, he will beat with the bishop. Let's concentrate on that. If we are wrong, we start over after he moves. But if we are right, we gain precious time.

Assuming he moves 12.Bxf3.
Let's think how we reply.

I believe that's why some site have conditional moves, it allows you to plan but not be completely lost on time etc. if they move and you don't get back in time.

Now it is being our own turn, back again, always

:bump: means what?

12...Bb7 move, is it being our own move?

Please vote for something, some move of your own choice, and then of your own opinion
Back again, always

No he did not. He just said "I am here around, watching you!" Like a father showing his presence from time to time to his children playing in the park, when he see they are starting to play ugly. :razz: "f6" is not a move, it has no chance to attract any vote, is only to say "play nice boys!". And we agree, "yes, papa!"

But after he turns the head, we stick the tongue out to each other:

12...f5!

I mean...well, Bb7 is indisputable the best move here, but that's why they are expecting it. On the other hands, f5 is a trap very easy to fall into. Why not give them a little variation, we play for fun. If they take it I would laugh at them for half year after the game is finish. If not, that's it. We still play. Therefore, Bb7 would by my second choice here, if the other don't agree with f5.

So, it occurs that 12...Bb7 move had been my own vote;
12...f5 move was being LaurV's choice;
12...e5 move from within science_man_88
Maybe add with 12...f6 move according to Batalov, Xyzzy.

Now it will be upto you to decide down that way, Dubslow.

So, your decision will be same as my own decision, thus, thereby.

After our own 12...f5 move, we will certainly have with
12...f5 13. exf5 Nxf5 14. Bxc5 bxc5 15. Bxa8 Ne3 16. Qe1 Nxf1 17. Qxf1 Qf6 moves
We will be down a pawn, with an isolated a-pawn,
But after this track course, our own position will not be very much bad enough either.

Their own alternative moves course will be rather instead, with
From within this way
12...f5 13. e5 d5 14. Qd2 Bb7 moves - not being going ahead with in these moves, either, 12...f5 13. e5 dxe5 moves namely

I leave out furthermore decision to yourself,
From within among in this process ...

LaurV, the trap you refer to is 12 ...f5 13 exf5 Nxf5 14 Bxa8 Nxe3 15 Qsmthng Nxf1 ? (Or the variation referred to by Raman, in which we lose a pawn?)

And what if they do reply 12 ...f5 13 e5 d5 ? Then what? Hmm... (our knight is trapped, that's for sure.)

I will say that f5 certainly is more interesting.

(PS I'm terrible enough that I never would have seen this trap myself, even if you said Nxf5. Only Raman's post was enough to clear me up.)
