What about 10...b6 11. e5 Bb7?
I think that if we push b6, then we musn't respond to e5 with dxe5.

If: 10...b6 11.e5, then if we play [strike]11...dxe5[/strike] this would be very bad. They are not stupid to take the horse in d4 (or are they? :P). After 12. Nxd4 cxd4 13. Bxa8 dxe3, that black pawn is as good as a queen, sustained from the back by the black-square bishop, he can only capture it with a heavy piece, and we may win the game with it. 14:Qe2 exf4 15.Rxf4 then we have either 15...Bd4 (blocks his queen because we push with chess) or even better 15...Nf5. Therefore, their best reply to 11...dxe5 would be 12.Nxe5 (and not to take the horse). We would have to save the rock and he gets a free move, and we lost the black diagonal of the bishop (our bishop blocked) and lost the white diagonal too (his bishop being first on guarding it), really bad... and we can't take out his horse in e5, because he gets the f column too (his rock in place). Very bad. Taking 11..dxe5 is very bad. Assuming he plays 11.e5, we better take the horse first, then move the rock. He can't do too much with that pawn, beside of blocking our diagonal. We even might get some attack after Rb8, with Bb7 and keep his queen linked. Honestly I believe he will not push e5 right now. If I would be him, after 10...b6, considering that black is very strong in the center, I would try to develop attack on the sides, either by Qd2 or b4. Taking the horse in the middle won't be bad either for white, considering that horse in d4 is a big pain in the ass, so we may witness 11.Ne2 (otherwise why the hack they moved the rock?) or directly 11.Bxd4 (this seems ugly for both parties, i believe it is uglier for white :P).

So, there may be better moves for us now, but I believe 10...b6 is not a bad move either.

My first pick: 10...b6
My second pick: 10...Bd7
My third pick: 10...b6 :P

Meh, I still don't like it. And btw, 10. ...b6 11. e5 Bb7 will just drop us the bishop, since it's unguarded. (PS: "rook", not "rock")

For LaurV: Besides the moves 10...b6, 10...Bd7, please think with the moves of
10...Rb8, 10...d5, 10...Qc7, 10...Qb6, etc. for the black's tenth moves.

For Dubslow, science_man_88: please vote for whatever you think is being the best
move to go to with. It is being provisional only, can be changed later on - actually
onwards once we come altogether into a consensus state.
Please take with your own time!

If you think your option move is not being there, then please feel free to post over
hereby, and then one of the poll options might be changed, and then replaced with
this move, for example, the moves 10...e5 / 10...f5 may replace altogether with the
moves 10...a6 / 10...h6, etc.

I would like it to have a poll with more than 10 options being setup, made available to us,
to use with, in down way for the game !

10...f5 is the worst from the 3. if I would be white I would do nothing (move 11.Qd2 or 11.Bf2) and let you take it. Which you can't, and you just lost a move. Because after 11...fxe4, 12.Nxe4 and now you have a horse in the middle which you can't scare off. If push 12...d5, you lost pawn in c5 for free. Same for 10...e5, 11.Ne2, and if you take f4, then Nxf4, and we switch the sides, now white has a horse peeking behind black lines (black horse is in danger because c3, and it has to run away or be exchanged).

10...d5 might be an interesting move, but how do you reply then to 11.Ne2. or even worse, 11.Ne5? (again, they are not stupid to take it, we just self-destroy the beautiful wall we have in the center, just my two cents)

I got sick of it so I picked one randomly from the list.

Ok, I see sm88 voted 10...Rb8. Now only Dub is not decided and if we can not reach a "majority" (like he votes with one of us), then any of the following moves would be ok for me, in this order:

10...b6
10...Bd7
10...Rb8
10...d5
10...Qc7
10...e5

I go to sleep now (late here) so I won't debate anymore for this move. If you pick a move from this list, and if at least two of you agree, then please consider that I agreed too.
