I tried it and I could not get mfaktO to find my IGP with my 6870 installed. However I did not perform exhaustive effort.

I have a 7770, I run 2 instances at 80M/s each, integrated 2 at 27M/s each(strange, I know it needs two instances) and it uses 3 cores of my A8 AMD quad core, a sandy bridge SHOULD be more than enough.

That's too bad, but thanks for looking into it.

There must be a way to do this, otherwise Intel wouldn't have bothered to introduce that feature where you can have both an IGP and an expansion GPU enabled at the same time.

As soon as I enabled the IGP in the UEFI, next time I loaded Windows there was a driver update for the HD 4000. As to how to actually make use of it...

So, in your AMD box, mfakto didn't have a problem finding and using the integrated GPU in addition to the expansion card?

Actually it baffled me quite some time, what enabled it for me was "Enable Crossfire support" in the bios.
P.S. the iGPU didn't show up at all in gpu-z before I did that

I wonder if, in your case, it helped somehow that both the iGPU and the CPU (plus the dedicated graphics card) are from the same company, AMD.

There doesn't seem to be an option to "Enable Crossfire Support" in the UEFI for me (maybe I need to look in the right place?).

Uh, my MB has a AMD chipset, so... in your case, it doesn't have to be "Crossfire", it could be "SLI" "Multi GPU" etc. But if you already see both gpu's in GPU-Z, it's probably that either you can't run it on the iGPU, or mfakto doesn't support it (yet?)

I'll check for those kinds of options.

It does stand to reason that your system, featuring hardware all from the same company, would have them better integrated than does mine, which is a blend of Intel (CPU, iGPU) and AMD (GPU).

Guess it couldn't harm anything to try switching the default graphics to the Intel HD 4000 and see if mfakto: 1) will then run on that, and 2) will in addition still run on the 7700.

Maybe I'll walk over to the mfakto thread and see if anybody knows if it'll support the 4000.

Good idea
However, I don't have a intel cpu (here atleast) it's a integrated AMD iGPU.

I just stumbled over this post on the AMD forum. So it seems it is possible to enable all devices. If that is so, then maybe I should put some effort in making mfakto work on HD4000 eventually ... (After the GPU sieving is out).

That would be interesting. I have an nvidia chipset on my motherboard that is like an internal hybrid-sli - it doesn't have it's own video out, but it can team with your nvidia video card sometimes. I have not been able to get mfactc to run on it. :( Looking further, I did actually get it to start up - I just had to disable gpuseiving (it is compute 1.1). It hasn't turned up a result line yet, so I don't have much hope, but I'll poste how many ghz a day it can turn out. :)
