Looks like 10.Rb1 has the majority vote then, I guess.

I expect that Bill is a reasonable person and will accept a simple formal apology. As for Raman, I don't care about his tantrums.
I want to hear from both captains. |

I didn't manage to get on. What are the official rules on non-captains posting moves? I don't think I have posted all ours so far. |

Let's hear from Dubslow by PM.
I am a referee not the executioner. (A referee, for me, is a facilitator. Or a sensible judge -- who can summon both counsels into his chamber.) |

As a non-team-captain I have not been asked my opinion and should perhaps keep quiet, but could this posting and the fact that no-one objected to it please be taken into account? I had the impression that lack of objection indicated agreement.
Should a team which takes more than one week for one of its moves (which, I can assure you, we are not doing in this case) actually lose on time there and then? Seems unnecessarily harsh to me. I would suggest some appropriate protests and warnings would be in order to any team which makes a habit of failing to comply with the one week rule, rather than instant termination of the game on first offence. What do others think about this?
|

Obviously I want captains to speak for their team (which includes conferring with them). Not that I dismiss the opinions of individual members. It just gets harder to track if everyone is included.

Unfortunately captains are human and get busy at short notice. Should we assign vice/co captains? |

I'd like to keep the game going since I find this enjoyable. As David noted, we can cut them some slack in the future. And it wasn't like we were days late....

I am fine with the way it was discussed.
(I've also played in many team tournaments. We had had members whose assignment was to watch the clock and make important actions if the force majeur is evident. E.g. 1 minute is left. Anyone can post the move then.) |

Personally I would be fine with any of this team's members posting. I think we can trust them not to be immature and post early(I wouldn't trust Raman). If I were to nominate anyone to post if I can't it would be Brian as he is on often and seems to have a good head on his shoulders(could easily be a team captain in another game).
