Most likely, but being a professional mathematician, he also included a bait concerning the subtleties of infinite sets for c10ck3r.

You are both correct. I am perhaps not an average persion, but just mean: I like to confuse people with ridiculous properties of elements of empty sets.

By the way c10ck3r, did I already mention that all the last Fermat numbers are also green and originally from Mars?

As a more on-topic note: I always get excited by posts in this thread, and can now blame myself for many disappointments..

Moved to a separate thread in Misc. Math. to avoid similar future disappointments. It's not really cranky math but I think M.M. seems the most likely home for it.

Is one's last number the one referred to in the euphemism "your number's up, pal"? Is the rule that they actually ave to tell you the number at that point right before you expire, or can they taunt you by leaving you in the dark right into the grave? Deep questions, these are. [/YODA]
