Here is a factorization effort for which the statistics may be of use to some.
I used a gpu for polynomial selection (176 hrs approx. where ~300 hrs quoted), the python script and no hyper-threading. The system crashed 2x (kudos to how robust the msieve, python and ggnfs coding is). Files were lost but not the data sets so I was able to manufacture new ones. Addendum - Processors are overclocked to 4.5 Ghz but the text file shows the standard rate. Last fiddled with by ishkibibble on 2012-11-14 at 23:28 |
