I think it's actually a GTX 555. For some reason, Google kept returning results for the GT 555M.

Replace the DVD drive with a BD (still with a DVR+-R). It's probably time.

Same with the power supply. There's a decent 600W corsair for $60 after rebate on newegg, and even the 500W for $40 AR would be fine. Unless you're looking to run multiple GPUs eventually, 500-550W is enough to handle pretty much anything.

They have some hec Orion for $29 ... (is that too cheap to be safe?)
Also do I need to care that some advertise as being i5/i7 compatible and some not?

My favorite computer case is made by Thermaltake it has two SATA docks on the top that are always nice to read raw hard drives on a high speed sata bus.
