If the safe file from the previous run is available,
what is the proper command to run the P-1 to higer bounds without starting from the beggining? Here is what I tried: Run 1: Pminus1=N/A,1,2,exp,-1,B1-AAA,B2-BBB,78 The first run completed with no factor found; safe file was left. Run 2: Pminus1=N/A,1,2,exp,-1,B1-BBB,B2-CCC,78 The second run overrides the first run's save files, and there is no indication on the sreen if any data from the first run was used, the screen indicates the run starts at 0%. Am I using a correct command to start the second run? It should be able to start stage one at AAA (or is it BBB?) instead of zero; would Prime95 somehow indicate that this is what happens? Thank you |

Ok, it appears I can force Prime95 to take the old safe file if I extend the B2 only.
I.e., Run 2: Pminus1=N/A,1,2,exp,-1,B1-AAA,B2-CCC,78 |

From browsing this forum I found that there are two more undocumented parameters:
[,B2_start][,"factors"] While “factors” is self-explanatory – I presume this is to list known factors so that the P-1 does not stop and continues looking for yet undiscovered factors (right?). What is the purpose of the B2_start parameter? Is this for distributing stage-two work among several computers? What is the exact usage of this parameter? Thank you |

To use it you would do stage 1, take B1=10M as an example. You copy the save file to one or more computers. Computer 1, you'd then run B1=10M, B2=20M Computer 2, you'd then run B1=10M, B2_start=20M, B2=30M etc. |
