I started with this prime that I had bookmarked:
http://factordb.com/index.php?id=1100000000636891196 When I try to open the More Information section, it won't respond. After that the DB wouldn't respond to another number I had bookmarked. It happened to be divisible by the prime mentioned above: Code:
161026132504206316362717136199955135181448302659241236044960558447024397439996438318076254736784051359999 Last fiddled with by Stargate38 on 2019-09-02 at 23:01 Reason: forgot period |

That's another issue. IMO it should at least let you see the limits page, even if you're over the quota.

I've had problems with it saying "You have reached the maximum of 4 parallel processing requests" (I'm running some scripts that regularly submit factors to factordb). Then it started saying "You have reached your hourly limit of 2000 seconds CPU-time." Which only makes sense if some of the tasks I had running were in a loop.
I wasn't doing anything I havn't done before so I think there was an issue in factordb. But it seems back to normal now. Chris |

The same happened to me today. I've already seen (occasionally) the "4 parallel request" alert, but the "hourly limit of CPU-time" one is new to me. Could it be that the limit was higher before, and it has been lowered to 2000 second yesterday?

My limit used to be 750 seconds (yuck), so I don't think your limit was lowered. About the parallel requests, maybe something got stuck in an infinite loop, or it just took a long time to process.

http://factordb.com/listtype.php?t=3...00&mindig=1281 gets a blank page with just the headers. And my script gets 500 Internal Server Error.

The number (2^9999*43697976428649+6)^2-1 is shown as PRP, while being obviously composite. No "##" or "%" this time.
Feeding the algebraic factors doesn't solve the problem. Clicking on "More information", the algebraic factors are there! (Funny note: both algebraic factors are prime, they are part of a quadruplet.) |

Thank you! So it was actually a pseudoprime to the default test (it's 2-PRP, right?).
It's odd that reporting a factor doesn't let the db realize the number is composite, but i guess is how it works. From now on in a similar situation i'll try a different base test too. (BTW the factors had to be reported again to achieve FF status.) |
