I downloaded and registered this program to run tests to assess and evaluate my computer (cpu temps, in particular).
But, there's almost no intuitive info given. How is anyone expected to interpret the info or the settings unless they studied this program?!? There's no FAQ or help that I can see. Nothing usable. Maybe someone can explain how to use this program and exactly what you're supposed to do with it?!? I just want info on my cpu temps and state of my processsor. |

If you downloaded the official package, there should be a stress.txt file in the same directory with the executable.

Also remember that the stress test will also check your memory, so any problems could be from that instead of your CPU.

Did you download just the bare prime95.exe executable file, or one of the zipped distributions containing prime95.exe plus other files? The latter should include readme.txt, stress.txt and undoc.txt, as noted by TObject and petrw1. Last fiddled with by cheesehead on 2012-04-05 at 17:33 |

sounds to me like you were in a hurry and downloaded something you didn't actually need.
