If VHD means you run it in a virtual machine, then it is to be expected that the NV driver does not work as the VM would not see the NV card (or at least would not have full control over it).

Oh, interesting -- thanks.

FWIW, the card shows up in Device Manager, and is reported as working properly and with no conflicts.
